Zannatul Bakiya Keka is Special correspondent at Channel I, the first satellite television channel in the Country. She completed her graduation and post graduation from the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism of Rajshahi University, Bangladesh. She started her journalist career in 1999 and over the years worked for different media both print and electronic on Health, women, children and environment issues as a part of her professional interest.
On her recent position she produced Report on health and environment issues, on Agriculture, Child and Women affairs, National political affairs and on legal and judicial issues. She regularly writs in different dailies on different issues apart from television journalism and hopes to continue this to contribute on country's health service sector so that the government can take more efforts to eliminate limitations and problems of this sector to ensure proper health service to the common people.
She attended many training in her vast experienced career and amongst them significant one she attended on the South Asia Initiative on Women and HIV/AIDS Policymaking on December 7-10, 2009 in Washington, DC, USA. The program brings together a small group of women leaders from three sectors–Parliament, civil society, and media–from three countries: Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan.
She Attended `The Gender Sensitization Training programmed on Gender Equality and women’s Empowerment for Media in Asia and the Pacific. this programmed arranged by UN women regional office for Asia and the Pacific. This training programmed held on 12-15 December in Bangkok, Thailand
14 countries and 21 Journalist were participated this Workshops. this country were Afghanistan , Bangladesh ,,Bhutan, India, Nepal, West Temur, Fejji Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan , China , Hongkon and Thailand.
She attended the Bangle International Therapeutics (BIT) summit@ Health Ministry of Bhutan. This program was held on 6-8th December 2019 in Thimphu, Bhutan.
She attended and Covered the Women Deliver 2019 Conference, This program was held on 3-6 June 2019, Vancouver, Canada. 2012
